On way to 3 Forks, Montana & camping 🏕

After an amazing day at Yellowstone,  headed to 3 Forks Montana to camp for the night. 
Sad though how the smoke once again muted the beauty of the views   😪 


On a cloudless day, this view should have been spectacular,  instead it felt like an overcast day.

Here is what it should look like:


Was hard to see the mountains on both side of route 287... Darn, these fires have affected so much across the country! I heard the smoke has even reached Europe!
 
Well, forget the clear views, let's set up camp & eat!! 
Made a gumbo.. smoked sausage, sautéed fresh onion, green pepper, & garlic.. added in flavored wild rice. Very tasty!

    Dang that gumbo looks mouth watering, as expected of Chef Kevin. Despite the smokiness, i think the mountain pics still look spectacular! So cool to see the different mountain layers go so far back, wish i was there!

    Meal looks delicious!! I'll have to try that out.👌 We've had some rain recently along with the wind shifting directions and now the smoke is gone!! Finally I can breathe!!! Enjoy your time bro😊

Took a slightly different road to get to highway 81, was able to get a great view of the hills surrounding the Strands!

Meteor Crater, Arizona

Just east of Grand Canyon, checked out meteor crater, pretty amazing! You can see the crater off in the distance. There was a lot of displaced earth when this meteor hit! Entering into the visitor's center, lots of stuff to do & see! Here is a picture frame of the San Francisco peaks off in the distance on the left. This was solid metal. Crazy heavy! Got here too late. Oh well 🙄 Evening sun to soon go down... Lots of viewing spots.  🧐 The impact spot.  Cool place! Hard to imagine this happening!

Niagara Falls at night

Took a little detour to Niagara Falls on the way back home. Stayed the night at  hotel located very close to the falls. Cool walk to the falls. Ran across a skunk & some raccoons on the pathway. The American side Heading towards Horseshoe Falls,  Best viewed from the Canadian side. Pretty impressive,  even at night!
