Delayed start!

Writing this after the fact... 😆
After multiple delays with the Secretary of State (DMV) to transfer the title & get the registration for my new Altima, I got on the road at 7 pm Friday! There's a long back story on how I had to make this work.  Ugh! 
So... I pulled into Ashley's apartment very late & hit the sack. Ashley had to head out for an early class, so we slugged some coffee & bailed. She recently started on her Masters degree in occupational therapy at UIC. I'm so proud of Ashley for venturing out to Chicago to live & study on her own! Love her super cute apartment in Oak Park as well!

Off to visit my brothers in Minneapolis area.

Stopped at an "tollway oasis" to grab some breakfast & coffee just outside Rockford. Still waking up 🥱

Friday night at Uncle Russ & Aunt Ann's, all my cousins were here for chicken dinner. Ann Marie & her husband Jim, Bill (Brian), Donna (Renee), + uncle Bruce arrived! Had a great time my entire stay here! Heading out to Natalie's apartment in State College, PA. Chilly frosty clear Tennessee morning! Took a slightly different road to get to highway 81, was able to get a great view of the hills surrounding the Strands!

Meteor Crater, Arizona

Just east of Grand Canyon, checked out meteor crater, pretty amazing! You can see the crater off in the distance. There was a lot of displaced earth when this meteor hit! Entering into the visitor's center, lots of stuff to do & see! Here is a picture frame of the San Francisco peaks off in the distance on the left. This was solid metal. Crazy heavy! Got here too late. Oh well 🙄 Evening sun to soon go down... Lots of viewing spots.  🧐 The impact spot.  Cool place! Hard to imagine this happening!

Niagara Falls at night

Took a little detour to Niagara Falls on the way back home. Stayed the night at  hotel located very close to the falls. Cool walk to the falls. Ran across a skunk & some raccoons on the pathway. The American side Heading towards Horseshoe Falls,  Best viewed from the Canadian side. Pretty impressive,  even at night!
