My Random Musings

2020 is a life changer for many people, in SO many ways. Social unrest, divided country politically, global weather change, economic uncertainty,  it all has me realizing how fragile our lives are! So I have decided to take a break from my career for a few months to evaluate my life & my future, & let the Universe/Higher Power guide me. Staying positive!

    Well I am forever grateful I sold my house and moved out of state in January before all hell broke loose! Otherwise I have no idea what would’ve ever happened to my plans. We are loving the southern lifestyle despite the pandemic challenges. God really put us in a beautiful place.

    I love to see you tapping into all of the wonderful adventures, beauty, and peace the universe has ready for you! I am looking forward to following your posts.

    Kevin, thank you for putting your trip on this blog! I truly enjoyed all the scenery pics, but wished for more people pics! I hope you enjoyed your trip throughout the states and seeing family. We had a nice visit with you at our temporary house. I'd like to make a trip to Michigan someday. Would be fun to visit in Detroit. I know the copper country is far, but who knows if we could travel that way or not. Lets keep in touch!

Friday night at Uncle Russ & Aunt Ann's, all my cousins were here for chicken dinner. Ann Marie & her husband Jim, Bill (Brian), Donna (Renee), + uncle Bruce arrived! Had a great time my entire stay here! Catching up on the latest, reminiscing on old times, games, + awesome food!  Thx to Donna (& all who helped) for the amazing chicken bacon ranch tomato avocado cucumber wraps! Num nums! I pigged out royally!! 😋 The Strand Family The whole crew! (Minus Donna, who took the pic) Uncle Russ and Donna Uncle Russ & myself 😀 Saturday morning 10-17-20. Heading out to Natalie's apartment in State College, PA. Chilly frosty clear Tennessee morning! Took a slightly different road to get to highway 81, was able to get a great view of the hills surrounding the Strands!

Meteor Crater, Arizona

Just east of Grand Canyon, checked out meteor crater, pretty amazing! You can see the crater off in the distance. There was a lot of displaced earth when this meteor hit! Entering into the visitor's center, lots of stuff to do & see! Here is a picture frame of the San Francisco peaks off in the distance on the left. This was solid metal. Crazy heavy! Got here too late. Oh well 🙄 Evening sun to soon go down... Lots of viewing spots.  🧐 The impact spot.  Cool place! Hard to imagine this happening!

Niagara Falls at night

Took a little detour to Niagara Falls on the way back home. Stayed the night at  hotel located very close to the falls. Cool walk to the falls. Ran across a skunk & some raccoons on the pathway. The American side Heading towards Horseshoe Falls,  Best viewed from the Canadian side. Pretty impressive,  even at night!
